Our method

Vestraluna is built on a simple promise: every forecast starts from the real sky, and you can always see which part of the sky it comes from.

1. We calculate the sky

Planetary positions come from high-precision astronomical algorithms (the same family of models used by planetariums), computed for the exact day in the tropical zodiac. The Moon, the Sun and eight planets are placed to the minute of arc; retrogrades, stations, lunations and eclipses are found by searching the ephemeris, not copied from tables.

For birth charts we convert your local birth time to universal time with the historical time-zone database, including past daylight saving rules, and calculate the Ascendant, Midheaven and Placidus houses for your birthplace. Above the polar circles, where Placidus is undefined, we switch to Porphyry houses and say so.

2. We read it for each sign

Each day, for every sign, we count the solar houses the planets occupy and the aspects they form to the heart of the sign. From these we compute a score for general mood, love, career, money and wellbeing. The score and the placements behind it are shown on every horoscope page, in the 'The sky for you' box.

3. We write with AI, under strict rules

Horoscopes, articles and guides are written with the help of artificial intelligence. The model receives the calculated sky and our editorial rules: every text must be anchored to a real placement, match the tone of the score, stay concrete and kind, avoid fatalism and never give medical, legal or financial instructions. We check the texts for variety, native language and consistency with the data.

4. What astrology is, for us

Astrology is a symbolic language for reflection, not a science that predicts events. We present it as such: useful to think about your day, your relationships and your choices, never as a substitute for professional advice.
